Fruit pickers work seasonally picking fruit and vegetables. You get to meet people who often speak a foreign language, and you get paid according to your effort. The work is hard, but there is always a need for fruit pickers.

Average pay rate: $3 to $25 per hour depending on skill and speed.

Pros: Get to meet new people, eat fresh fruit, and reimbursement is directly related to the effort you put forth.

Cons: The work is seasonal, co-workers are often rude and speak behind your back in a language you do not comprehend, and bats love the fruit as much as we do.
